Omani Luban (Frankincense) is known as a sticky substance that comes by pouring the tree or scraping its outer shell to reveal a sticky liquid and when this substance is exposed to air it dries up in the form of a crystalline gum known as frankincense Luban. When tapping, the first resin to be harvested is Green Hojari followed by yellow, orange, and finally black which is the final stage of harvest. Then it is used as incense, by placing it in a censer (incense burner), in which the Luban melts down into a citrus color that is almost white.
