About Amir Oud
أمير عود، بيت العطور الملكية
Amir Oud is a family-founded fragrance house. We started in 2017 and we are based in Richardson, Texas. Our roots are in the perfumery of the Arab world, and we work with the materials the East has valued for centuries: agarwood, amber, musk attars, incense, and precious woods.
At the center of everything is oud. In the Gulf, oud is not saved for special occasions. It is part of daily life. People press the oil onto their skin before prayer, burn bakhoor before guests arrive, and pass their favorite scents down to their children. That is the tradition this house comes from, and it shapes every blend we make.
A Family Story
Oud perfumery has long been an industry of men. Amir Oud stands apart as a house with a woman among its founders: Lama Joraid.
Lama was raised in the Gulf, where fragrance was part of home. Her father always wore distilled oud oil, and the smell of bakhoor drifting through the house before gatherings is one of her strongest childhood memories. Those memories are part of what this house was built on.
"I enjoy watching the way people brighten up when they smell a perfume that relates to them, as though they have found something that defines them."

Why the Peacock
Amir means prince, and the peacock has always been the bird of royal courts. It was kept in palace gardens across the East, from Persia to India to the Arab world, prized for the same reason oud was: rare, striking, and impossible to ignore. When we chose an emblem, no other felt right.
Look closer at a peacock feather and you see dozens of colors in one. Our oil library works the same way. Amber gold, deep rose, dark oud, bright musk, each blend with its own character and hue, all from one house.
And there is one more thing we admire about the peacock. It does not hide what it is. We think a good fragrance should be worn the same way: openly, with confidence, like it belongs to you. Because once you find your scent, it does.
Some scents you just have to smell first.
